Day 1, continued:
We pick up with a fuel stop at St. Ignace, MI. We boarded 415 gallons of diesel. With it's 600 gallon capacity, this was the first fuel stop since Oswego, NY.
The clarity of the water was a amazing! Water temperature was an indicated 68 degrees.
The Mackinac Bridge. It was truly a site to behold!

Passing the Straits of Mackinac, the next stop was Beaver Island, at the far left of the map below. There are some shallow areas with the shoals, so we navigated through Gray's Reef using the Lake Michigan East Straits passage.
