Local Marinas and Fuel Stops

Listed below are several of the largest local marinas in the McAlpine Pool. This covers the area from the Markland Locks and Dam continuing south to downtown Louisville's McAlpine Locks and Dam.

Also available for transient boaters:

The Louisville Waterfront Develpment Corp. maintains slips in the downtown area. There are two sets of docks, one at each end of the Waterfront Park. The first group of slips are adjacent to Towhead Island at the Tumbleweed Southwest Grill (Mile 602.8) and the others are at the other end of the park, near Louisville's Slugger Field (Mile 603.5).

Note that with the exception of Thunder Over Louisville and the July 4th Fireworks, these slips are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A "permit" is required for overnighting. Note that even with a permit, you're not guaranteed a reservation. These slips tend to fill-up on the weekend evenings. Additionally, bring your shorepower adapters, as the electrical connections vary.
